Let’s talk ingredients.

If you aren't aware, a large number of mainstream candles include the use of: paraffin. parabens. phthalates. carcinogens. mutagens. zinc, lead, or metals. harmful reproductive toxins, organ toxins, or acute toxins. animal products. mica, or other child labor/exploitative materials. prop 65 warnings galore. 

However, we use:

• High standards of thoroughly & credibly-tested fragrance oil & essential oils. We select only those oils capable of burning at high temperatures safely, with a track record of transparent Safety Data Sheets (SDS) approved by the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) and the International Fragrance Association (IFRA).
• As we're a vegan company, we abstain from beeswax. Instead, we use American-grown soy wax, which is 100% renewable, clean-burning, slow-burning, eco-friendly, carbon-neutral, and sustainable. 
• Our wood wicks are Forest Stewardship Council or FSC-certified (aka responsibly sourced). We also use 100% cotton wicks (lead-free and zinc-free), dipped only in soy wax. Both of these choices are durable & ecological.
• The vessels, lids, containers, and silicone molds that we choose are always BPA-free. 
• We choose liquid dye sourced from plants, which is biodegradable and eco-friendly. Along with biodegradable & compostable glitter, made from plants - not plastic.
• Recycled and/or biodegradable packaging (maybe you've seen our compostable peanuts?) is used as often as possible, as is biodegradable shrink wrap.
• We also upcycle unused wicks & wax into new items whenever possible (such as our Firestarters and Bonfire Bark).

Being that we're compassionate humans, as opposed to giant corporations, we actually hand-select our wax, wicks, vessels, and fragrances, every time we order from our suppliers... because we're consistently looking out for your best interest. We want you to have the option to choose a product that is one of the safest on the market.
